Production Plants
Gujarat Microwax is a leading manufacturer in the pharmaceutical excipient industry, committed to delivering high-quality, reliable products. With four specialized production units, each designed for specific excipient manufacturing, Gujarat Microwax combines advanced technology with decades of expertise to meet the stringent demands of the global pharmaceutical market.
Unit 1
Established in 1991 as the original plant for Microcrystalline Cellulose, Unit 1 has undergone various renovations to enhance efficiency and modernize production. Today, it operates as a semi-automated plant, retaining its legacy as a foundational facility in our production line.
Unit 2
Launched in 2009, Unit 2 produces our key disintegrants, Cross Carmellose Sodium and Sodium Starch Glycolate. This unit’s production capacity was doubled in 2018 to meet growing demand. Located on the same campus as Unit 1, it plays a vital role in expanding our product range.
Unit 3
Opened in 2024, Unit 3 is our latest addition and second disintegrant facility, focused on producing an innovative Cotton-linter based Cross Carmellose Sodium. Fully automated, this plant represents our commitment to adopting cutting-edge technology for enhanced quality and efficiency.
Unit 4
Established in 2019, Unit 4 is our second plant dedicated to Microcrystalline Cellulose. This fully automated facility further strengthens our production capabilities, ensuring consistent quality and supply to meet industry standards and demand.
